Scroll down to see our pups in action!!

Puppies grow and change quickly. Be sure to check back often to see their progress.
Note: Lights go off around 11pm

Week 1: Pups spend their days either nursing on mama or sleeping, usually in a pile for warmth. Mama is always with them minus quick potty breaks.

Week 2: Pups still alternate between nursing and sleeping. Although usually in a pile, they can often be found sleeping individually this time. They are starting to open their eyes/ears and interact with one another. They are crawling around the pen. Mama is spending time outside the whelping box.

Week 3: Pups are up and doing their best to walk. They are just starting to play with each other but still spend a great deal of time sleeping and nursing. Pups will move to the Puppy Room during this time. The weaning process starts to mama’s relief.

Week 4: Pups are gaining better traction while walking. More toys are added to the Puppy Room for puppy fun! The Puppy Room is slowly expanding as the pups success on the litter trays is increasing. Larger toys like slides and tunnels are added on a rotating basis. Weaning is in full effect with four meals a day. Mama able to cut back on the times she nurses. She will often stand while nursing the pups. Pups have teeth and are not gentle on mama!

Week 5: Pups are spending more time awake and playing with toys and each other. They love to gnaw on anything and anyone. Teeth are razor sharp! They are eating hard kibble now. Training starts with the pups’ learning to ‘SIT’.

Week 6 - 9: Pups are running and playing with toys. They are awake for much longer periods. They love to explore. Toys are changed out daily for new challenges.
