Puppy Cam

Puppies grow and change quickly. Be sure to check back often to see their progress.

Scroll down to see our pups in action!!

Week 1: Pups spend their days either nursing on mama or sleeping, usually in a pile for warmth. Mama is almost always with them minus quick potty breaks.

Week 2: Pups still alternate between nursing and sleeping, although usually in a pile, they can often be found sleeping individually by week 2. They are starting to open their eyes/ears and interact with one another. They are crawling around the pen. Mama is spending time outside the whelping box.

Week 3: Pups are up and doing their best to walk. They are just starting to play with each other but still spend a great deal of time sleeping and nursing. Pups will move to the Puppy Room during this time. The weaning process starts to mama’s relief.

Week 4: Pups are gaining better traction while walking. More toys are added to the Puppy Room for puppy fun! The Puppy Room is papered while the pups adjust. Litter boxes are added as the pups learn to pee farther away from their bedding.

Week 5: Pups are spending more time awake and playing with toys and each other. They love to gnaw on anything and anyone. Teeth are razor sharp! Weaning is progressing and the pups are usually on softened kibble by now topped off by mama’s milk.

Week 6 - 9: Pups are running and playing with toys. They are awake for much longer periods. They love to explore. Toys are changed out daily for new challenges.
